Google Alerts: See What The Internet is Saying About Your Brand

How-To-Use-Google-Alerts-To-Draive-Traffic

Increasing your digital presence is a vital step in growing your business. The more exposure your brand receives on the web, the more important it is to be aware of what is being said about your business, and where it is coming from. Monitoring your online mentions is the first step in managing your online reputation, and maintaining a positive brand image.  An easy way to do this is by using Google Alerts.

Google Alerts is a free tool that will email you when specific keywords are mentioned in an article, forum, review or across the web. You can use this tool to monitor your brand name, products, or competitors. Setting up an alert is simple and can be done in 5 minutes.

How To Create an alert:

  1. Go to the Google Alerts website

  2. In the “Create an Alert About” box, enter your business name or any other associated keyword that you would like to be alerted about

  3. Click show options to customize what addresses alerts will be sent to. You can also customize what types of websites you want searched and how often you would like to receive alerts.

  4. Click create alert

Once your alert is set up, you’ll start getting emails anytime new search results are found for your business name or keywords. You can then use these results to measure your online presence and reputation.
