1. AI will fully replace human marketers.

Many believe that AI will eventually replace human marketers altogether, performing all tasks—from strategy development to customer communication—without the need for human intervention.

Here’s what we have to say about that: Nope. Not a chance. Not happening.

And, we believe that the same goes for other members of your marketing team. Humans cannot be replaced by AI because while it can help automate repetitive tasks like data analysis or content optimization, it still requires human creativity, strategy, and decision-making.

Human marketers still bring emotional intelligence, context, and strategic vision—important qualities that AI cannot replicate. 

AI is a tool that should be used to enhance and streamline marketing efforts, not replace the people behind the strategies. And, according to LinkedIn: “Marketers who embrace AI find it frees up time to focus on high-level tasks like campaign planning, storytelling, and customer relationships.” Plus, according to stats from The Social Shepherd, “81% of employees with AI have better performances.”

2. AI can produce perfect content.

Like we said above, we covered this extensively in our post The Importance of Content Writers: Why They’re Still Essential for Your Business. Definitely read it when you get a chance. But, to give a very short recap, while AI can produce content quickly, it lacks creativity, a unique tone, emotional and psychological triggers, and some other things. 

LinkedIn suggests using AI for idea generation and drafting content, and using human marketers to add that magic touch that makes content stand out and resonate with its audience. 

3. AI can only help businesses with big budgets.

Yes, there are some expensive AI-driven platforms on the market, but there are also plenty of ones that won’t break the bank. And, there are even some free ones out there, like some of Google’s AI products.

4. AI doesn't offer personalization.

Sure, when AI first hit the scene, it was a little on the basic side. And, yes, it once only provided pretty generic marketing strategies. But, it has evolved. 

According to Oxygen, a popular marketing agency based out of Hong Kong and HubSpot’s first Platinum partner based in Asia and first Diamond partner in China: “Current AI tools excel at providing highly personalized marketing experiences.” 

Oxygen goes on to explain that with up-to-date data, modern AI tools can “analyze extensive datasets, including browsing behaviors, purchase histories, and customer interactions, to create detailed customer profiles.” 

And, as marketers, we know what we can do with detailed customer profiles. We can personalize content to very specific audiences. And, we can offer customers recommendations of other products and services based on their past purchases.

5. AI is just a fad that will eventually go away.

This is a big misconception of AI that’s gaining traction, especially by those that don’t know much about AI and how it works. 

But, according to LinkedIn, AI is not just a passing trend, “it’s a technological evolution.” And, it's becoming a huge part of businesses of all types, not just marketing. 

AI will continue evolving and influencing how we work and communicate. And, according to Bryj, AI will become “a permanent fixture in both business and society at large.”
